What the excursion is like
The plan is the same on all boats: first you head out in search of pilot whales or dolphins; after the sighting, the boat heads to Masca bay or the cliffs, where it stops for a swim; the return to port hugs the spectacular cliffs of Los Gigantes. Marítima Acantilados operates 4 different boats, each with its own schedule, capacity and price — choose the one that suits you best below.
Nashira Uno — 3h excursion with meal
Boat with underwater viewing windows and capacity for 52 people. After the sighting, a 20-25 minute stop to swim in Masca bay, where the meal is also served: rice with vegetables, chicken and fruit (with a vegan or vegetarian option served separately), plus two drinks (water, soft drink or beer).
Gladiator U — 2h excursion with drink
After the sighting, a 10-15 minute stop to swim beneath the cliffs. Includes one drink (water, soft drink or beer).
Inia — 2h excursion with drink, small group
The most intimate option: sighting in small groups of up to 12 people. A 10-15 minute stop to swim beneath the cliffs, with one drink included.
Lady Elsie — 3h excursion on an exclusive sailboat
Luxury sailboat with capacity for only 10 people. After the sighting, a 20-25 minute stop to swim (snorkel gear included), with a drink and fruit on board.

How to get there
The boats depart from Los Gigantes Marina. Parking in the area can be tricky — the marina car park is public and paid, and fills up easily, so it's worth arriving early. From Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz or La Laguna, allow 2 hours; from Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas or Costa Adeje, 90 minutes is enough.

Which boat should I choose?
Nashira Uno if you want a meal included and a large, family-friendly boat; Gladiator U for the standard option; Inia if you prefer a smaller, more intimate group; Lady Elsie if you're after an exclusive sailboat with few spots.
Is the sighting guaranteed?
Southwest Tenerife is a well-known area for pilot whales and dolphins, but since these are wild animals, sightings can't be guaranteed on 100% of trips.
How long does the trip last?
It depends on the boat: Gladiator U and Inia sail for 2 hours, Nashira Uno and Lady Elsie for 3. The plan is the same on all of them — looking for pilot whales and dolphins, a swim stop below the cliffs and the return along Los Gigantes.
Where do the boats leave from and how do I get there?
From Los Gigantes marina. Transfer is not included: buses 473 and 477 come from Los Cristianos and Las Américas, and the 325 from Puerto de la Cruz (timetables on Titsa). The marina car park is public and paid, and it fills up easily, so leave yourself some margin.
Can children and babies come along?
Yes, the trip is suitable for all ages and babies aged 0 to 1 go free. With small children, Nashira Uno is the largest boat and the only one with food included.
What languages are spoken on board?
Spanish, English and French. Tell us which one you'd rather have when you book and we'll confirm it with the boat.
What happens if the sea is rough?
Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before. If the skipper calls off the trip because of sea or wind, we move the date or offer an equivalent alternative.
What does the price include and what should I bring?
It includes the boat trip, insurance, a drink and the swim stop. Food is only included on Nashira Uno (3 h) and snorkelling gear only on Lady Elsie. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a light layer — it's breezy on deck even in full sun.
