Without a motor, the BH Expert mountain bike starts at €24 a day and drops to €13 on long rentals; the BH Ultimate from €30. An extra battery costs €15 for one or two days and €10 for longer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a bike in Tenerife?

It depends on the type and the number of days. For one or two days, road bikes from €30 a day, non-electric mountain bikes from €24 and electric mountain bikes from €40. The more days, the cheaper each day: from fifteen days, the simplest road bike is €18 and the mountain bike €13.

Where do I pick up the bike?

At the shop in the Zentral Center, next to the Zentral Hotel, in Playa de las Américas (Arona). Hotel delivery can be requested at a cost depending on the area.

What do I need to rent?

The renter must be over 18, with an ID and a card for the €100 deposit, which is refunded when the bike is returned.

Is a helmet included?

No. Helmet, pedals and GPS mount cost €5 each and are paid once, even if you rent for ten days. If you bring your own pedals and helmet, there is nothing extra to pay.

How does the daily price work?

Days are counted from pick-up to return, the total sets the bracket (1-2, 3-5, 6-9, 10-14 or 15 or more) and that price applies to every day. Twelve days on a BH SL1 road bike are 12 × €20 = €240.

What does the €450 cycling week include?

Five guided road rides, with a Shimano 105 Di2 bike included. Accommodation and airport transfer are not included. Routes range from 60 to 110 km, with up to 2,500 m of climbing on the Teide day.

Can I join the guided rides on my own bike?

The shop accepts guided rides on your own bike, paying only for the ride. That price isn't published: ask us and we'll check.

Electric or regular?

If you don't train regularly, electric. Almost every interesting route in Tenerife goes uphill, and from the coast to the Teide National Park you climb more than 2,000 m. The regular bike is for riders who come to train.

How is the booking confirmed?

Excursions Canaries checks availability, provider conditions and the traveller's level before confirming the experience.

Can you help me organise more than just the activity?

Yes. We can help with accommodation, car hire, spots, restaurants, cafés, recovery and complementary activities.
