eFoil lesson: 1 or 2 hours, up to three people
An eFoil is a board with an electric motor and a foil underneath: it needs no wind or waves, and most people manage to fly within the first hour. The price is per session, not per person, and the board is shared in turns: 1 h costs €170 for one person, €220 for two and €270 for three; 2 h, €270 for one, €300 for two and €350 for three. With two or three people each gets less board time, but you tire quickly at first and the turns come in handy. Includes instructor, board, helmet, vest and insurance.
eFoil rental by the hour or with a ticket
To rent for the first time, the centre requires a prior hour-and-a-half lesson with an instructor: it's expensive, motorised gear and they want you to know how to handle it. From then on, 1 h costs €120, 2 h €220, the 5 h ticket €399 and the 10 h ticket €699; tickets are used in sessions of at least one hour over your stay. If two people want to take turns on the same board, the shared-gear rate is €150 an hour, €250 for 2 h, €499 for the 5 h ticket and €849 for the 10 h ticket.
How to book and why it's the plan for windless days
Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, how many you are and whether you want 1 or 2 h; we confirm the time with the centre and the exact price, the same one Duotone publishes. eFoil doesn't depend on wind, so it's what we recommend when the forecast isn't good for kite or windsurf, or for the rest day between lessons. If there are two or three of you, the shared session is much cheaper per head than a lesson each. And if you get hooked, the hour-and-a-half lesson the centre requires before renting can be booked directly as your first session.

Cancellation & conditions
Free cancellation up to 48 h before. eFoil doesn't depend on wind, but it does on sea conditions: if the centre can't take the board out that day, the session is moved to another day of your stay at no cost.

How much is an eFoil lesson in Tenerife?

Do I need experience or surfing skills?
No. The eFoil is controlled with a hand-held remote and the instructor regulates the speed at first. You need to be able to swim and have some balance; with that, most people get up and fly within the first hour.
Can I rent an eFoil without a lesson?
Not the first time: the centre requires a prior hour-and-a-half lesson with an instructor. After that you can rent by the hour (€120 an hour, €220 for 2 h) or with a 5 h (€399) or 10 h (€699) ticket.
How much board time does each person get in a shared session?
There's one board and you take turns: in an hour for two people, about 25-30 minutes each; for three, about 20. You tire quickly at first, so the turns aren't as noticeable as they sound.
Can you eFoil when there's no wind?
Yes, and in fact that's when it's best: with no wind the water is flatter and flying is more comfortable. That's why the centre recommends it for calm days and as preparation for wingfoil.
What does the price include?
For the lesson: instructor, eFoil board with battery, remote, helmet, vest and insurance. For rental: the board, helmet and vest. Neither includes transport to El Médano.
Is there a minimum age or maximum weight?
The centre doesn't publish a fixed figure. The board has a weight limit because of the battery and foil, and for children age and weight are assessed when booking. Tell us on WhatsApp and we check before confirming.
Where is it and how do I get there?
On the beach promenade of El Médano, in south Tenerife, about 10 minutes by car from Tenerife South airport and 20-25 from Los Cristianos or Costa Adeje. Transport isn't included.
